Billion was born in Washington DC (USA). His dad was in the US Navy for 20 years, and the family lived all over the world as he grew up. He took guitar lessons under the instruction of John Davis in England from 1969 to 1971, receiving a BMG certificate for proficiency in Spanish and classical guitar.
Billion formed the band "Starr" in Washington, DC in '72, and played in a few other bands until joining the Navy for 6 years in 1978. After leaving the Navy in '84 he moved to Sault Ste. Marie, MI and helped form the band Voyager, who played throughout upper Midwest, traveling around in an old painted up '65 school bus. They ripped out the seats, built a wall, and divided the bus into two parts so they could have gear storage in the back and a living room (complete w/ couches and card tables) in the front. After Voyager broke up, he formed a band called The Stand, playing original music (Rock, R&B) at various locations in the Sault Ste. Marie area.
The band Billion Watts first came about in 1989, and he recorded a two song demo tape while attending college. Billion's latest band is StoneApple.
He's also an Electrical Engineer working for Ford Motor Company with a BS in Electrical Engineering and an AS in Computer Engineering, and here's his engineering resume.
